Five security screen models successfully tested for heavy impact and forced-entry resistance under SMA 6001-2021

“Our mission is to give everyone the security they need and deserve, because everyone deserves a safe and happy home."”
— James Kerr - Founder & CEO
LAS VEGAS, NV, UNITED STATES, August 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Boss Security Screens announced that five of its security screen products have met the stated Heavy-Duty Security
performance requirements for impact and forced-entry resistance under SMA 6001-2021, the Screen Manufacturers Association's
specification for metal protection screens.

Applicable units also passed the standard's sag-resistance testing.

The independent testing was conducted by Molimo Architectural Product Testing and covered the following Boss Security Screens
products:
- 500D Security Screen Door
- 500D French Security Screen Door
- 500D Security Sliding Screen Door
- 1050 Operable Security Screen
- 2050 Operable Security Screen

Testing evaluated the complete screen assemblies - including their frames, mesh, locks, hinges, fasteners and other hardware -
under demanding conditions designed to measure resistance to heavy impact and attempted forced entry.

Products for which sag testing was applicable also met the stated performance requirements for maintaining proper alignment under load.

“Our mission is to give everyone the security they need and deserve, because everyone deserves a safe and
happy home. These results demonstrate the strength behind our products and our commitment to creating
security screens that help families feel protected without sacrificing the comfort, airflow and appearance of their
homes.”
James Kerr, Founder and CEO, Boss Security Screens

SMA 6001-2021 establishes performance criteria for metal protection screens, including impact, forced-entry and applicable
sag-resistance testing. The successful results provide independent evidence that the tested Boss Security Screens specimens met
the standard's stated heavy-duty security performance requirements.

These screens are designed to provide a serious physical barrier between the people and places our customers care about and the
threats outside, Kerr added. Independent testing gives customers greater confidence that the security built into Boss Security Screens products is supported by measurable performance.

The laboratory reports were issued on February 13, 2025. Results apply to the specific specimens, sizes, configurations and
installation details evaluated during testing.
