Repeated cycles of swelling and shrinking place lateral pressure on the foundation and create movement beneath the structure.

Over time, this movement can lead to cracking, shifting, and even sinking. These symptoms are often first noticed inside the home as misaligned doors, cracked drywall, or uneven floors—but by that point, repairs can be extensive and costly.
